ACADEMIC TITLE AND POSITION MSc. / Assistant Lecturer
CURRENT ACADEMIC STATUS AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND MSc. Fabiola Mane is a registered nurse, university lecturer, and PhD candidate in Nursing Science and Public Health at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. She has an academic background in nursing and consolidated clinical and academic experience, with a focus on primary care, geriatric nursing, and chronic disease management.
POSITION She currently serves as Assistant Lecturer and Department Coordinator of Medical Technical Sciences (Nursing & Physiotherapy) at Barleti University, Tirana, and as a part-time lecturer at “Aleksandër Moisiu” University, Durrës. She has over 15 years of experience in healthcare services, including hospital and primary care settings, as well as experience in university teaching and curriculum development.
CONTRIBUTIONS Her research activity is under development and focuses on nursing and public health. She has participated in national and international training programs, seminars, and conferences. She is currently involved in the AKSHI – Living Lab project, contributing to innovative and digital approaches to improving healthcare delivery, alongside her ongoing doctoral research.
ACTIVE ENGAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENTAL AREAS OF INTEREST Her main research interest lies in geriatric care and chronic disease management, with a particular focus on self-care and patient empowerment. Secondary interests include integrated community care models, palliative care and therapeutic communication, and the digitalization of healthcare services.
