The Department of General Formation and Professional Development focuses its research activity on scientific and applied research in areas of special importance for the healthcare system and the sustainable development of society.

Department of Medical Sciences and Health

The Department of Medical Sciences and Health focuses its research activity on health promotion and disease prevention through an interdisciplinary approach. Its main areas of research include nutrition, naturopathy, holistic approaches to healthcare and oral health.

In oral health, the department focuses on preventive strategies at individual and population level for high-incidence oral pathologies, especially in pediatric ages. Innovative research directions include the use of contemporary orthodontic technologies such as Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADs), as well as the integration of artificial intelligence in education and in clinical support processes for diagnosis and treatment.
