Department of General Trainingand Vocational Development

The Department of General Training and Professional Development for the period 2022-2025, in implementation of the "Barleti" University's strategy of its mission, vision and objectives, offers and coordinates continuing education study programs, as a form of learning throughout life, as well as research through short-term, medium-term, and long-term training courses. The trainings are in the framework of the General Training and Professional Development of Graduates licensed Nurses, Physiotherapists, Dentists and Pharmacists, of Bachelor's and Master's Programs, who work in public and private health institutions.

Students can embark on a journey to career success in a variety of fields, including employment opportunities in:

  • Regional Public Hospitals and University Hospital Centers
  • Private Clinics and Polyclinics,
  • Pediatric Care Centers, Kindergartens and nurseries
  • Municipal and Private Elderly Care Centers
  • Public and Private Health Centers
  • Public and Private Palliative Care Centers

The Department's vision is closely related to other Departments of the Faculty of Medical Sciences and interacts with other UniBa Centers in order to fulfill the main Mission to train students for good patient care. The vision of the Department is to carry out activities that are in close collaboration with Hospitals and Health Centers,

The Department's mission has an applied and practical orientation in these main directions: To realize a standard professional training. The department is only for teaching, practices, training for controls, to identify gaps in the skills of employees. To know contemporary with work of work. To carry out applied research in medical centers and in the laboratory.

The department realizes and improves the strategy of training, development of practices, for the trainees. Training and development programs improve employee experience, increase performance. The strategy helps train trainees and students, creates a formal program for various medical trainings, and evaluates the results of training and development strategies.

Main Activities

The focus is not only on treating health problems but also on prevention and health education and promotion

Development of all the skills of taking appropriate measures to guarantee safety, protection and preservation of health in the workplace

Development of knowledge and management skills of entities providing all types of health care in the public and non-public sector

Formation of necessary skills in health decision-making at the macro level and at the micro level for the provision of quality and efficient care

Preparing professionals capable of designing individual nutrition plans according to specific nutritional requirements and needs

Development of modern electronic management skills of patient and population health data

Cooperation and improvement of knowledge about new technologies by implementing them through professional practices in public and private hospitals

Education of health professionals for further qualifications with new diagnostic methods and medical technology.

The programs in the second cycle of Master of Science studies last 2 academic years with a load of 120 credits.

PROGRAM LINES-INTERRELATED SECTORS

The Hospital Sector, where the educational and clinical practices of students are carried out according to the Bachelor Programs, the Scientific Master Programs and the two-year Professional Program Operator and Consultant in Health Care

Hospital staff should be encouraged to participate in ongoing training to increase their skills. Therefore, current staff should be trained in both management and technology (eg cloud image storage), with training taking place at UniBa.

Hospitals providing opportunities for promoting healthy mental, emotional and behavioral development for children and their parents and preventing many mental, emotional and behavioral problems and disorders

Services through the Practices of Centers for the Elderly, helping the elderly to realize a quality personal hygiene, realizing good communication and helping and taking care of the elderly with mobility disabilities and for quick and emotional recovery.
