ACADEMIC TITLE AND POSITION	Prof. Dr. / Professor
CURRENT ACADEMIC STATUS AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND	Prof. Dr. Ramazan Isufi is a Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and dentist. He completed his university studies in Dentistry at the Faculty of Medicine in Tirana (1976–1980), followed by specialization in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Tirana (1990–1993). Other qualifications documented in his CV include professional training in Paris, Ireland, Germany, and Spain (1995, 1997, and 1998). He received the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences in 1999, the title of Associate Professor in 2007, and the title of Professor in 2013.
POSITION	Since 1 October 2026, he has served as Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences at Barleti University. From 1991 to 2026, he worked academically as a lecturer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Medicine, Tirana, alongside clinical work at the “Mother Teresa” University Hospital Centre. From 2005 to 2015, he headed the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Service at the University Hospital Centre. From 2015 to 2024, he served as Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Preclinical Studies at the Faculty of Dental Medicine.
CONTRIBUTIONS	His scientific and academic work includes professional publications, textbooks, presentations at national and international conferences, and supervision of diploma, specialization, and doctoral theses. He has served as a lecturer and academic collaborator in scientific activities in Albania and the region, including Pristina and Tetovo. He is Albania’s Consul at the European Association for Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery (EACMFS) and Editor-in-Chief of the Albanian Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. ACTIVE ENGAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENTAL AREAS OF INTEREST	His clinical, research, and academic activities focus on the following areas: • Orthognathic surgery and multidisciplinary treatment of dentofacial anomalies. • Treatment of congenital cleft lip and palate. • Oral and maxillofacial oncology and diseases of the head and neck region. • Maxillofacial trauma and reconstructive surgery. • Oral implantology, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, and treatment of odontogenic infections.
