ACADEMIC TITLE AND POSITION MSc. / Assistant Lecturer
CURRENT ACADEMIC STATUS AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND Armela Bara (Zylfo) is a lecturer and nursing professional with an academic background in Nursing and Business Administration. She is currently pursuing PhD studies (PhD Candidate) at the University of Medicine, Tirana, within the doctoral program “Nursing and Midwifery”. She has completed a Bachelor’s degree in General Nursing, a Master of Science in Nursing, and a Master of Science in Business Administration. Her academic training is oriented toward evidence-based nursing practice, with a particular focus on clinical care, mental health management, and the improvement of healthcare service quality.
POSITION She holds the position of Assistant Lecturer in the Nursing Program at Barleti University, where she is engaged in teaching activities, academic support for students, and participation in research and scientific initiatives in the field of nursing.
CONTRIBUTIONS Her professional and scientific work focuses on clinical nursing, oncology nursing care (both pediatric and adult), as well as the management of stress, anxiety, and depression in hospitalized patients. She has actively participated in national and international scientific conferences with presentations addressing non-pharmacological interventions, the role of nurses in oncology care, and the importance of psychosocial support during the treatment process. Additionally, she has contributed to scientific publications related to nursing education, oncology care, and the development of evidence-based practices.
ACTIVE ENGAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENTAL AREAS OF INTEREST She is actively involved in professional and academic development through participation in research activities and national professional networks. Her main areas of interest include general nursing, pediatric nursing, oncology nursing (pediatric and adult), mental health, pediatric mental health, and the implementation of supportive non-pharmacological interventions in hospital settings. Her research interests aim to contribute to the improvement of nursing care quality, patient well-being, and the development of innovative approaches in healthcare services.
